It's Rescue Tuesday! I rescued this week's piece from Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernières (p43) and Sons and Lovers by D H Lawrence (p107).

That works well. Nice flow to it. Invokes the senses. Loved the "Captain Corelli's" book, hated the film. Russ's house is called "Pelagia" - he loves the book too.
