Letter.Box.Stamp.Collect. is an installation by Pascalle Burton for the Queensland Poetry Festival 2013, which will be held from 23-25 August.
I’m delighted that my poem, ‘yesterday’s images’, is published as part of the circular poetry featured here.
You can read here about the ‘letterboxing’ concept, which dates back to the 19th century.
Poetic geocaching, anyone?

Well done, Jen! Love the letterboxing concept. Was your poem meant to hint at the shape of an hour glass? If so, nice touch. If not, what a happy coincidence given the poem plays with the idea of time.
Cheers,
Marianne
Hi Marianne,
thanks so much! Yes, I did a bit of tailoring to suggest an hourglass so I’m glad you picked it up!
And mega congratulations to you on your shortlisting: what a talent you are, you absolutely deserve it.
Hope to see you soon; Poetica is imminent, I think!
xoxo
Thanks, Jen 🙂 The short-listing was a great honour (and a great surprise!!). And yes, Poetica is most certainly imminent – this Sunday.
CU later,
Marianne 🙂
